Tell lawmakers: Protect Kids From Dangerous AI
We test children’s toys for lead. We test medicines before they reach a pharmacy shelf. AI companies should not get a pass simply because technology is moving faster than the rules.
Millions of children and teenagers are already talking to AI chatbots every day, forming relationships that can feel personal, responsive, and real. These systems are often designed to keep people engaged for as long as possible.
Yet they can be released without independent safety testing or a clear understanding of how they affect young people’s mental and emotional health. In many places, there is not even a requirement for a chatbot to tell a child that it is not a real person.
This is what happens when billionaires get to ignore the rules — our families and kids pay for it.
It's simple: Test AI systems before they reach children, not after something goes wrong.
Our best chance to protect young people everywhere is to unite behind a massive public campaign calling on lawmakers and decision-makers for a future where:
- Humans remain in control of the decisions that shape our lives;
- Human creativity, dignity, and work are protected;
- Powerful AI companies are held accountable; and
- Technology serves people, rather than replacing and harming them.
With one million signatures, we'll have a powerful public mandate that we will deliver to key decision makers — lawmakers, government regulators, and tech executives.
The more people who sign, the harder it becomes for a few billionaires to decide our children's future without us.

I call on lawmakers and tech companies to protect children’s wellbeing, require strong safeguards for AI chatbots, and put children's health before profits.
